Bible journaling is a great interactive way to read and study your Bible!! For those of you who are a little more on the creative side and maybe learn better by actually doing something or seeing it in an interesting way, this is the thing for you to do to memorize those verses!!

This is my Bible Journal; it was a gift from my cousin!! As you can see, I have plenty of verses tabbed that I still plan on doing an image for. So far, I’ve been reading through the Bible from the very beginning and as I come across one of my tabs or a verse that really sticks out to me, I’ll do a drawing for it!! I don’t just do drawings though; I’ll also write some notes in the margins for some passages (although I usually do little notes in my other Bible and try to keep this one just for doodles).

These are a couple that I’ve done in my own Journaling Bible. I found some of the ideas on Pinterest or Google, while others I took inspiration from images I saw of other people’s creations.

For me, interacting some way with my Bible and the verses makes it easier for me to remember them. I can almost envision the image I made for it and I’m able to remember the verse word for word!!

But Bible Journaling isn’t just about memorizing verses, it’s about spending time with God and learning His Word. This way is just a more fun way to spend time in God’s Word without just sitting there reading (which can be a little hard and boring to do in certain parts of the Bible!!)

I would highly recommend getting a Bible Journal. Even if you’re not the most artistic person around, it’s still a fun way to go through the Bible!! But I would especially recommend it to those who enjoy drawing or sketching and are wanting to study the Bible more. I find that I actually get excited to read the Bible now because I know that I get to draw all over the page!!
